- Problem: Opening workspace cannot see the Algo Entry Controller
- Solution 1: Install and open the correct workspaces with the Algo Entry Controller
- Solution 2: Check and verify the correct recommended settings are used for the PC
Trouble Shooting
- A) in 90% of all cases the workspaces are not installed or a workspace with no auto trading
- b) In 10% of cases the trader has not installed the system with the recommended datetime/language settings and a date format error has occurred.
- N.B: Algo Entry Controller will appear only when AFT8 trade entry algos are loaded.. and if compatible settings on the OS are in use.
Solution 1 - Workspaces
- view AFT8 Workspaces
- visit the downloads page read the name descriptions
- Install the correct workspaces with Algo Entry Features
- Start NT8 & open the desired workspace
- Wait for the market analyzer to load the Algo Entry Controller will show
Solution 2 - Recommended Settings
- AFT8 pre-requisites and recommended settings
- Check for error logs entry to see if this is the cause
- how to look for error logs in aft8 and nt8
Information required for Support Request
- Which workspace/s installer did you install? 1, 2, 3, VIP?
- What workspace did you open - what is the name of the workspace?
- Provide a screenshot of the NT8 system:
- The market analyzer with the running algos
- The workspace list opened in the control center
- Open the traces/logs folder how to look for error logs in aft8 and nt8
- Send this information to the Support Desk to save time wasted being asked for the details
