How to view and verify what is trading, what took a trade, unexpected trades taken AFT8 algo entry modules – Algo Trading Systems Help Center

Problem: An unexpected trade was taken, what took the trade or how?
Common reason for the question

AFT8 is unlike any other NT8 system and does not use the same components a trader expects... so the confusion usually is getting the basics step by step and building up the layers to understand what does what and how etc.. in the Get Started Trading Zero To Hero
AFT Algo Entry controller is configured to start up and take a trade automatically when the workspace/NT8 is started and connected
Multiple workspaces are open and systems are trading in the background
Confusing/muddling trading sabotage with trade copiers
NinjaTrader ATMs are being used alongside AFT8 Trade managers causing unexpected results
3rd party strategies are in use
Additional connections - persons or apps trading the same account elsewhere.

NOTE:

Turnkey workspaces and support -In order to qualify for support all traders need to attend and work through Get Started Trading Zero To Hero

Check and resolve what placed a trade in NinjaTrader 8 and AFT8

Look in the control center - orders filled -does the name contain AFT? view how to view executed trades orders in NinjaTrader 8
AFT8 Algo Entry AutoStart view for details of how to set the trading mode to fully automatic or semi or manual/off
What was the account of the trade, what have you configured to run on that account?
Check and close all workspaces open in the background - only run 1 workspace in the foreground via the Workspaces menu of the NinjaTrader Control Center. - View how to verify only 1 workspaces is open and running in NinjaTrader 8
The AFT8 Algo Entry module is located in the Market Analyzer columns - what is running there what is the Market Analyzer view? what is trading on which instrument and account? View the columns and view the settings configured and running, view: Algo Overview for Algo Entry, Algo Trade Manager controllers
View the controller to see what is running - is it fully automatic? so configure it not to be on automatic - see it to manual or semi-automatic mode, view: AFT8 Algo Entry AutoStart

Disconnect NT8 Connections
Create a new workspace called Untitled1 if it does not exist - make sure it is empty
Close all workspaces and only have the untitled1 Workspace
Close down and restart NT8
Make sure only the blank workspace is open
1. VERIFY Are trades still being taken in the same account? - then the issue is on a different machine, web app, or mobile trading the same account.
If no trades are taken elsewhere then start again at the start stage 1
- NOTE! Do not use any other workspaces - only the AFT8 Turnkey Workspaces as these have no faults!
- Open AFT8-SFG Breakout Trader-Basic-002 or the AFT8-Trend-Scalper-Basic-002 as you prefer
- This will add modules for trade entry and exits -controllers will appear for entry and trade management
- Learn how to view and use the controls attend stage 2 on Discord Zero to Hero
  - understand how to view the controllers and what is running the level of automation
  - understand how to change the account and instruments
  - build up the operational methods to "drive the car" - later worry about trade stats and so on and the nuances of how you want to trade if different to the turnkey... use them as a baseline to change etc
