Having trouble changing account in AFT8? Change Account in Market Analyzer + Chart
Troubleshooting Checklist
- NinjaTrader 8
- Check your license allows Eval/Live Trading
- Multi Provider Mode is On - NinjaTrader 8 Multi Provider Mode
- Global Sim Mode is Off - NinjaTrader 8 Global Simulation Mode
- Prop Firm Connection is configured and connected
- Accounts tab shows your active prop/eval accounts
- Control Center Logs has no errors or warnings - scroll down to see and check
- Close all other workspaces except the desired workspace you want to trade with
- Change the account in all components, such as Chart Trader, to change the account there and change the account in the Market Analyzer columns - all of them for AFT8 - and any strategies in use, etc.
- AFT
- AFT Desktop is installed, running, and licenses are synced so AFT8 is enabled for prop/live trading.
- AFT8 is installed and working with sim account prior.
- Zero to Hero: You have worked through Workspaces 1 and 2 or above.
- AFT8: You are using Workspaces 2 or above for Algo Entry and Algo Trade Management hybrid trading.
- Within NT8, the account is changed from sim to your Eval/Prop account in all the components in the workspace:
- NinjaTrader Charts/Chart Trader account
- Market Analyzer columns - account
- AFT8 account is changed so that the Algo Controllers are showing the account and algos are ready to trade without any error messages.
