Account Sim101 is used by default in many of the workspaces for AFT8 and NinjaTrader 8
You can change the workspace account to your NT Tradovate Demo account or elect to use Sim101 or other local accounts you create
When you are using the new version of NT8 with the login functionality you chose live or demo trading at the start - this is awesome as you can see in NinjaTrader web what is going on in NinjaTrader desktop and vice versa via your live and demo account.... but the caveat is the sim101 account no longer is visible in the platform it's hidden.. the other caveat is the Global Sim feature is hidden - this is set off to allow NT8 to use the remote NT brokerage accounts demo or live... so this is easy to resolve: change the account in the turnkey workspaces or make sim101 visible!
- Problem: Unable to view sim101 NinjaTrader control center > Accounts
- Solution: Tools > Options > MultiProvider > Checked
Sim101 will now become active. If you are using the new NT Connection types you can disable this before shutting down NinjaTrader so that connection when starting NinjaTrader is easy Or configure the connections so you have more control and options.
NinjaTrader 8 will ask you to re-start - you can login, manually connect and use the workspaces
