Automated Trading vs Hybrid Algo Support
- Turnkey systems are provided purely for Hybrid Algo Trading, not optimized for fully automated trading. Therefore, running systems on fully automated 24/5 is a waste of time if a trader wants to see if they can just trade like that, but it's a good exercise to see the natural profile of the system and market and then tweak from there. By design, it's guaranteed to have massive runs and massive drawdowns as baselines so that the real market can be seen and so hybrid algo trading can be implemented by the trader man and machine style to only allow auto trading when it's a high probability context and to filter out the losing runs and periods and unnecessary drawdowns. Keep Algos on fully auto to see the market, understand the stats and pitfalls, and make sure you are winning on sim trading first.
- All traders should ideally be successful at hybrid algo trading first and know what they are doing via hands-on experience. Only then might they have a chance of success at fully auto as they have the insight as to what to configure. Hybrid provides the minimum drawdown, minimum agro and work, and maximum results, and more traders are successful at it. Fully auto has the very worst success rate as recorded by the CME Group, and from our experiences, some 90 to 99% fail at it. 99% of those who don't do hybrid first will fail if they rush in—the aim is money.
- Hybrid algo trading does provide all the features for manual, semi-auto, and full automation. Think of pilot and plane or driver and Tesla car. Fully Algo trading features and ability in the technology are available implicitly in the AFT system after installation, but the workspaces have different layers of features explained in Get Started Trading Zero To Hero and downloads.
