AFT7 Stop Loss Risk Adjustment
Editing the AFT000 Algo Pro Trader stop loss size in AFT7 is extremely easy and basic to do when you know how and allows you to increase or decrease your trade risk - it is only easy when the basics as understood.
Pre-requisites:
- Start NinjaTrader 7 with AFT7 installed
- Connect to intraday data
- Open the Workspace Session Open Breakout or Trend Reversal,
- Using the AFT7 NinjaBuddy Trade Manager
- Access the parameters from the provide settings template
- Edit the parameter values
- Save your own settings template
- Experiment with the settings on the sim account and place trades to see the effect of settings
- Save the changes to workspace with a name of your choice to prevent periodic updates overwriting your changes.

01A: StopLossMode:
- 0: Ticks,
- 1: AFT001 SFG10% Multiplier
- 2: AFT001 VARI Trail Stop Band 1 to 4
- 3: AFT001 USAR Trail Stop Level 1 to 4
Mode: 0 is user/trade defined ticks
Mode:1 is a multiple of 10% of the SFG grid.
Mode:2 and Mode:3 uses the AFT0001 Vari Stop/s which are visible via the plots in the AFT0001 SFG USAR combo indicator. The plot colors can be switch from transparent to a color to view
#01B: Stop Loss Mode:0 User Defined Ticks: e.g. 20 is 20 ticks per lot.
#01C: Stop Loss Mode:1 FibGrid10% Multiplier: - 10% of the SFG grid * this multiplier 2.5 = 25%
#01D: Stop Loss Mode:2 VARI Trail Stop Band Level 1 to 4: - to visualize the Bands on the chart set the plot colors of the AFTOO1 SFG USAR Combo - VARI Trail Stop Band
#01E: Stop Loss Mode:3 VARI Trail Stop USAR Level 1 to 4: - to visualize the USAR Trail Stop Lines on the chart set the plot colors of the AFTOO1 SFG USAR Combo - VARI Trail Stop USAR
#02K: StopLossMin - the minimum ticks for any mode of stoploss
#02L: StopLossMax - the maximum ticks for any mode of stoploss
Note: It is recommend to use mode 0 and 1 - mode 2 and 3 are for advanced users -mode 0 and 1 work for most scenarios you will need. Mode 3 is most popular for advanced users and trading scenarios only. Mode 0 and 1 work for all kinds of trades short and long where ever you are on the chart - but mode 2 and 3 are for precise entry types and are not general purpose. Start with mode
Save settings After editing your stop loss values
So this will prevent updates overwriting your settings
- Save the setting - Save as: mySetting01
- Save the workspace- Save as: myWorkspace01

01A: Stop Loss Mode:0 Ticks
01B: 30 ticks per lot
Edit to 20 for 20 ticks risk per lot.
Stop Loss Mode 2 - Adaptive Grid % Placement
#01A Stop Loss Mode:1
#01C Grid Multiplier 2.5
is an adaptive setting based on the fibgrid 25%
For example to reduce the stop by 50% you could se this to 1.25
Note: You can then experiment with that to see if that is the risk you are seeking by placing a trade on the sim and then viewing the Trade risk in the NinjaBuddy bottom right panel to see cash risk pre trade.
